Ghazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk says "The future is in the skies. Nations that do not protect their skies can never be sure of their future." In accordance with Atatürk's quote, National Defence University (NDU) Turkish Air Force Academy provides military education and training in addition to undergraduate programs in engineering to ensure that Air Cadets, who are the safeguards of our country in the blue skies, are committed to Atatürk's principles and reforms, gain the skills of administration and command, know various air-ground, air-air systems and weapons at the tactical level, and have the system knowledge to comprehend the battlefield. As a result of military training, it is aimed to raise leaders who form the foundations of professional military and aviation life, adopt obedience and discipline wholeheartedly, and succeed in becoming decent soldiers.

The Air Force Academy aims to develop advanced military and leadership skills by blending the love of aviation, which starts with the selection flight, with basic military training, and academic education. During the academic year, Air Cadets are provided with the basic qualities required for an aviation officer through an extensive academic program on military culture, personal development, core values, military and leadership training as well as flight training at camp and at the academy.

Air Cadets, who are trained to become successful fighter pilots and distinguished air force officers by taking part in the air and space platforms of the future, are aimed to be mentally strong and able to cope with the physical challenges they may encounter. They are ensured to receive education with high morale and motivation. For this purpose, various physical opportunities are provided for Air Cadets to take part in and gain skills in team games.

In addition to academic and military education, the Air Force Academy also offers a high level education in physical education and sports. The training aims to increase the self-confidence of Air Cadets by enabling them to reach the level of physical competence and fitness required to use high-performance aircraft and overcome all kinds of difficulties they will encounter in combat. In addition, the physical opportunities provided to the Air Cadets aim to instill a love for sports to ensure that they see sports as a philosophy of life both in their academic and professional careers, and continue doing sports throughout their lives.

NDU Turkish Air Force Academy, where young Air Cadets are trained to undertake the task of designing, building, and maintaining the domestic and national air and space power that our country will need today and tomorrow, will continue to be determined to fulfill all kinds of duties and responsibilities entrusted to it.
